Mega Bloks Wonder Pets Buildable Fly Boat Review
I just bought this toy for my 2 year old son and 5 year old daughter. Soooo much fun. My son sits and takes it apart and puts together over and over again singing, "What's gonna work? Team work!"
My daughter is able to get three figures (Tuck sold separately)in to the boat at the same time, but it is a tight squeeze. Mega bloks are very durable, easy to build with toys. The set includes 18 pieces in all, 5 are fly boat pieces, the rest are figures and extra blocks. My son can build the fly boat without assistance. One of the blocks is a baby penguin to "save".
I would not pay the current price for this toy. I bought it on clearance at Toys R Us for half that price. I was also able to purchase a big set of blocks that includes all three characters. Go wonder pets, hooray!
*Revision* Upon closer inspection, I discovered that Ming Ming has a notch cut out in back so she can sit directly next to the mast. If you put Ming Ming directly next to the mast you can EASILY fit three characters in the boat!

Decent but could be much better - HC -
I will first say I don't know anything about Wonder Pets. My son is 2 while he's seen the show and can sing parts of the song, he is by no means a fanatic. My negative response to this product is based on the fact that when you put the pieces together, they don't always fit next to each other. The whole point of this kind of toy is creative play. My son wants the two animals to sit next to each other and you can't do that. Or he tries to fit one piece on the boat but then when he gets another piece, it doesn't fit because it's meant to be part of the little island thing.
This is our first time using megablocks and because you can't interchange all the pieces as the child wants, can be frustrating and disappointing for the little one. We've used hand-me-down duplo sets and it seems with those pieces, no matter which ones you use, you can get them to go pretty much any way the child wants it to. And once he has his boat assembled, when he plays with it on the floor driving it around, the pieces sometimes fall off. :-(
Would I recommend this toy? Yes, if your kid is really into wonder pets. No if the cartoon characters aren't a big deal.

My 20 month old toddler loves the Wonderpets. We got him the MegaBloks schoolhouse kit for Christmas -- which includes all three of the characters -- Linny, Tuck, and Ming Ming -- and he just loved it. As a result, I decided to get him this MegaBlocks Fly Boat kit recently and it has been a huge hit.
All of the blocks and the wonderpet critters are well constructed and have easily withstood my toddler's abuse. He's able to put the pieces together in all sorts of different ways -- it's fun to see him developing his motor skills by manipulating the blocks.
Highly recommend.

This is an adorable replica of the WonderPets Flyboat, fun as a bath toy and buildable. While I have seen other replicas of the Flyboat, this one seems the best as far as toddler buildability and durability.
